6.7 km from our flagship store in Higashiyama, Kanazawa — this is how far our blends have travelled.

About the shop

True to a name that means "spice" in French, this is a shop of baked sweets and cakes that bring spices and herbs together with seasonal produce. The jams are house-made and the wheat is domestic. On some days there is carrot cake, or a chai chiffon cake.

It is a small shop run single-handedly by its owner, who announces opening days on Instagram. Inspice chai is brewed and served here, and you can also take home CHAInstant, the cacao nibs chai instant, and chai spice packs.

From Inspice

To stand, as a brand that makes its living from spice, in a shop that carries spice in its name. A quiet point of pride.

This shop’s scent print

Each ring, from the inside out, is one of the Inspice series this shop carries. The gaps in the rings and the length of the ticks are different for every shop, so no two prints are alike. The needle at the centre points toward our flagship store in Higashiyama, Kanazawa.
