BIVALABO Inc. (“Bivalabo”) treats personal information as belonging to you, complies with the laws governing personal information, and works to manage and protect it properly.

1. How we use information

Bivalabo may ask you for personal information for purposes such as orders and reservations, surveys, membership registration and sending direct mail.
We limit the purpose at the point of collection, and ask only for what that purpose requires. We tell you the purpose in advance, and collect the information by lawful and fair means.

2. How we hold information

Bivalabo holds the personal information you entrust to us in accordance with our internal rules on handling personal information, with clear lines of responsibility and proper management, so that it is neither provided to third parties nor seen or touched by them.
For delivery and data processing, and in order to provide a smoother service, Bivalabo may entrust the handling of personal information to a group company or an outside partner.
Where we do so, we make strict arrangements with that partner about information management and confirm that proper controls are in place before entrusting anything to them.

3. Disclosure of information

Requests from you to confirm, correct or delete the personal information we hold are received at our contact points, and we respond within a reasonable scope and period.

We may also disclose personal information without your consent where a public body such as a court, government agency or the police requests it and Bivalabo judges the request to be lawful, or where Bivalabo judges that there is a serious matter affecting human life.

4. Individual numbers

Bivalabo handles individual numbers and personal information containing them (“specified personal information”) properly and in compliance with the Act on the Use of Numbers to Identify a Specific Individual in Administrative Procedures (the “My Number Act”) and other laws and guidelines, and takes the measures necessary to keep it secure. We do not collect or use specified personal information beyond the purposes set out in the My Number Act.

Except where the My Number Act permits it, we do not provide specified personal information to third parties.

Parts of this site or service may include links to social media such as Facebook or X, and through them your access data may be sent automatically from this site to that service. Our privacy policy does not apply to those services, and we are not responsible for how they handle personal data. We would encourage you to read their privacy policies.
